Hey! I’m so glad you’re here. Iris Alcoves is our little hidden gem in Gainesville, a place to celebrate something meaningful, make memories, and feel right at home.
When I first discovered permanent jewelry, it was mostly at markets and pop-ups. I loved the idea, but I always wished there was an actual place you could go, a storefront, with an experience you didn’t have to chase down. Gainesville didn’t have that… so I created it.
What started with permanent jewelry has grown into so much more, charm stacks, pearls, hair jewelry, and new experiences we keep adding along the way.
Iris Alcoves is a warm, intentional space where people can come back again and again, mark life’s moments, and get to know us along the way.
Here, the jewelry is special… but the experience is what makes it unforgettable.

THE HEART BEHIND IRIS ALCOVES
Hey friends! I’m Tara, the owner of Iris Alcoves, Gainesville’s first permanent jewelry studio!
You might remember us as Forever Linked Gainesville. We rebranded and moved into our new studio space last year, and it’s been the sweetest upgrade ever.
After 15 years in dentistry and stepping into motherhood, I stumbled upon permanent jewelry and I’ve been hooked ever since.
When I first discovered it, I wanted to get “linked” myself but couldn’t find anywhere local without booking a party or chasing down a pop-up. That’s when I realized Gainesville needed a permanent, full-service studio for this fun, meaningful experience.
In 2022, I opened Iris Alcoves to create a space for meaningful connections, good vibes, and a little sparkle.
My daily mission is to make sure every person who walks through our doors feels cared for, celebrated, and connected whether they’re here for a solo treat, a girls’ day, or a milestone moment.
At the heart of it all, my “why” is simple: I want to build a place where people can make memories, feel confident in their own style, and leave happier than when they arrived.
When I’m not at the studio, I’m soaking up time with my husband Tony, our daughter Piper, and our newest addition, Aspyn.
This journey has been wild in the best way and I’m so grateful to every customer, friend, and family member who’s supported it.
Iris Alcoves started with me, my husband and a welder, but now it’s grown into the sweetest team of women who share the same heart behind it all. I’m so proud of them, and I can’t wait for you to meet each one below.

“A unique and super cute locally owned jewelry shop! We came here on Valentine’s Day as a romantic, fun activity and we both loved the experience. They went above and beyond to create a romantic atmosphere- with complimentary wine/mimosas/alcohol-free drinks, cupcakes and other snacks, and even gave me a rose to take home in a cute little holder. It truly is the little details like that that make all of the difference!
We took ages to decide what we wanted and they were so patient and answered all of our questions. Also I made the appointment online for our session and it was super easy & efficient. Tara, the owner, assisted us herself and she is always so kind and fun.
Side note- repairs are free! So there is really no risk to this is you’re trying permanent jewelry for the first time!
